Saturday August 29 - Meet and Greet

If you missed it you missed me the best foster at the shindig. It was a thrill to be there at the 100 Oaks PetsMart. There were plenty of things to catch my attention...cars, people, greyhounds, other muts...heehee...the little muts did catch my attention a little more than the greyhounds and other folks but I am getting much better at understanding the ways of this big world and have become a little more discerning as to how to act around other small canines...smile.

Once home...I just laid down and called it a day...and what a day it was...I am still worn out from yesterday...wait...rawhide chews???? Gotta go, my foster mom is passing them out to all of us...gotta get the best one....

Foster Mom Speaks Out...

Just wanted to let everyone know out there that Kassard's birthday was wonderful - this boy is appreciative of everything!

When he first arrived he was very apprehensive but slowly warmed up and now he is always in line for hugs - he loves to be touched. He has graduated from the tennis ball to raw hide chews - he loves them. He is such a good boy...loves his greyhound foster siblings. He absolutely loves to look at himself in my full length mirror - gosh I just can't help but laugh every time he stands in front of it!

He has free range in my house in the evenings AND is still playful but on occasion finds his way to his crate...such a sweet heart...he's my little Kassard-plum! He has perfect house manners. A forever home will be blessed greatly by having this handsome young man become part of your family!

Hello Everybody...

Just thought I would update you on how I am doing...looking forward to my birthday on August 14th - that's Friday (oh goodie...oh boy!). I am loving my foster home...I would love to have a home like this one...a doggie door to go in and out of at my convenience and did I tell y'all that my foster mom has a big fenced back yard...well it is all mine (okay I share it with my 4 greyt foster siblings). My foster mom has told me that I have been quick to learn to not counter-surf...to not get on the furniture AND she has been amazed that I have not ever "marked" (whatever that means) anything in the house. I love laying on one of the beds my foster mom provided but don't mind being in my crate. I still like my ball but I have found that I also like the stuffies in the toy box here at my foster mom's.

Doesn't someone out there in this big 'ol world have a home where I wouldn't have to share it with small furry animals/cats - just what is up with those things anyway?

Signing off for now - your everloving hound,
Kassard

Oh...Oh...Oh!!!!!

I believe I heard something about a birthday....my foster mom mentioned that Papaya is going to turn 5 on August the 10th (she's my foster sister) AND she mentioned me...yeppers I will be turning 3 on August the 14th! My foster mom mentioned that she needed to go run a few errands and one of the stops was going to be at store where she is going to pick up something for Papaya and me...wonder if it will be a beautiful....I mean handsome BD hat...I could really do with a nice treat...something that I can eat...I guess I will lay down here on my bed and dream about all the possibilities....

It's a new day!

Well my foster mom kissed me and I was out the door for the home visit. I was a little discouraged after the visit...I wasn't picked for a new home BUT I know it will happen when the family is right. I was glad to see my foster mom and my foster siblings again! Okay, note to self: when things don't go as planned and I need a pick-me-up all I have to do is go into my foster mom's bedroom and peer into the "looking glass" to see this handsome guy...oh gosh I am a nice looking man!
